Description

On October 8, 2012, Iranian defector Reza Kahlili reported on WND.com that Iran had built a clandestine nuclear site called "Velayat 1" on the outskirts of the city of Najafabad, Isfahan. According to Kahlili, construction of Velayat 1 began in 1997 and was completed in 2002 by Khatam al-Anbia, the engineering arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and is involved in nuclear weapons-related research including the design of a nuclear warhead for the Shahab-3 ballistic missile and high explosive testing.
