Who We Are
Open Nuclear Iran is a web-based, open source initiative developed anonymously by Iranians and experts from the arms control community to map, assess, and share information about Iran's nuclear program.
Our Mission
Initiated in 2011, Open Nuclear Iran directly engages Iranian citizens, the diaspora, and the open source community to map, assess, and share information about Iran's nuclear program. By combining the power of crowdsourcing and the Ushahidi platform, we are dedicated to advancing a free, open, and democratic discussion about the nature and extent of Iran's nuclear activities.
We collect open source information about Iran's nuclear program and visualize it on an interactive map. Volunteers of varying backgrounds and experience can submit article prose, news, images, and other media to the website. New reports may also be emailed to opennucleariran@gmail.com or tweeted to #opennucleariran. The content and reliability of all reports on the website are open to public comment and scrutiny.
